You Would’ve Loved a Day Like This

You Would’ve Loved a Day Like This

You Would’ve Loved a Day Like This
A day where the sun is shining brightly
And the grass is long, soft, and green
A day in which the breeze blows gently
And we say, “hello” to Spring.

I think to myself, “You Would’ve Loved a Day Like This.”
Then I smile cause I remember
That where you are is more beautiful
And filled with so much splendor.

We miss you Bruno.

Hi. I am Bruiser Bruno, a 7 yr. old American Bulldog who has lived the most wonderful life. Currently, I reside in beautiful NW Arkansas (alongside my soulmate and bestgirl, Daphne, and our four handsome and rambuncuous boys) with my wonderful parents, JD and Maricela. We all moved to Arkansas about three and a half years ago.But honestly, I would have to say that I consider myself a true Texan at heart- since that's where I mostly grew up. Yee-Haw! I am however originally from California. What can I say, I like to travel. **Bruno's spirit was set free, as he crossed over Rainbow Bridge, on 12/31/12. He faced his battle with cancer stoicly & with awe-inspiring courage. No matter how bumpy the ride, it was one which I could have stayed on forever. I am grateful for "EVERY" moment I was lucky enough to have shared with him.

  1. Yes, he would. You will see him again until that time he watches down and knows when you are thinking of him

  2. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

    It’s hard to have these “firsts” without our best bud, I know. But when you look at the sky, remember, there’s Bruno. When you feel the warm sunshine, there he is too. He is everywhere, and he will never leave your side. We dawgs live forever that way.

  3. I love that poem. Your first paragraph perfectly captures how I felt. The first 2 weeks after Magnum died we had magical weather (although for us it was autumn) and I thought how she should have still been with us, sitting in the park soaking up the sun. I was in no mood at that time to consider the thoughts you put in the second paragraph. I felt cheated that she had missed out on those gorgeous days.

    I know their spirits are in a better place, free of pain. Thank you for the reminder. They are never far from us but it doesn’t stop the pain of missing them.
