These are just some of the things we made a conscious effort to do with Bruno the moment we found out that he had cancer. We weren’t sure what his future held in store, nor how much time with him we had left. We also didn’t realize, at first, how choosing to become a tripawd would be a blessing in disguise; it would give us our boy back and grant us more precious time together.
Bruno’s Bucket List:
Going on drives anytime & anyplace.
Our favorite place on earth! The Buffalo River & our favorite cabin.
Enjoying a serene and relaxing stay at our favorite cabin in Yellville, AR which we visit yearly.
Visiting lookout point which overlooks the majestic Buffalo River.
Our annual trip to the Buffalo River.
Fishing in rivers during the summer months.
Taking afternoon naps.
Long drives down country roads in the Bronco.
Enjoying sweet summer snacks after a day of fun in the sun.
Celebrating milestones like my 1 year Ampuversary!
Making the cover of the 2013 Tripawds Calendar! In which I am also Mr. November.
Thanksgiving: Feasting on turkey and dressing and giving thanks for each blessing.
Enjoying the simple pleasures like the wind in my face.
Christmas: spending cozy winter nights indoors sleeping alongside the glow of tree lights.
Camping out in the livingroom, as a family, during my final days.
Making our final, lasting memories together before saying goodbye.
Consciously we sought out to capture, and preserve, the essence of Bruno. We watched him intently, took pics, & video recorded him as often as we could.

Hi. I am Bruiser Bruno, a 7 yr. old American Bulldog who has lived the most wonderful life. Currently, I reside in beautiful NW Arkansas (alongside my soulmate and bestgirl, Daphne, and our four handsome and rambuncuous boys) with my wonderful parents, JD and Maricela. We all moved to Arkansas about three and a half years ago.But honestly, I would have to say that I consider myself a true Texan at heart- since that's where I mostly grew up. Yee-Haw! I am however originally from California. What can I say, I like to travel.
**Bruno's spirit was set free, as he crossed over Rainbow Bridge, on 12/31/12. He faced his battle with cancer stoicly & with awe-inspiring courage. No matter how bumpy the ride, it was one which I could have stayed on forever. I am grateful for "EVERY" moment I was lucky enough to have shared with him.

The one thing Bruno had in his life that you forgot to mention was a family that loved him so much. Bruno was a very lucky boy, and I know you feel you were even luckier to have been the folks who got to live with him. Thank you for sharing these photos. They say more about Bruno and his family than any words could.
Great photos! They do show that Bruno and had a full, rich family life and was a cherished member of a devoted pack. As Max’s mama says, you were lucky to get to share your lives with Bruno, but you already know that.
We all know it’s not the quantity but the quality that’s most important, and as hard as it can be to accept the hand we’re dealt, Bruno lived his time absorbing every ounce of pleasure and joy that he could. Thank you for sharing Bruno here.
What a perfect bucket list. I think Bruno was enoying his bucket list all of his life. The love you all shared is there in each and every photo. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Maricela and Jeremy…We are all truly sorry for your loss. What a great nephew and cousin he was to me, Serenity, and Chris Jr. He will truly be missed by us and by many. We love ya’ll! I also bought a calendar and can’t wait for it to come in. ♥
Thank you for your kind words Bruno was such a huge part of our lives that he is greatly missed in his absence. Thanks for recognizing this and for paying tribute to his memory.
